There's GOLD in them there hills!!

And not enough people take the time to enjoy it!
Virginia City is an awesome little town for kids, adults, bikers and would be cowboys. All the shops up there have their own personalities and if you're up there at the right time you could see anything from a Confederate soldier to an Outlaw riding in on a steel horse. I LOVE THIS PLACE.
My wife Kris and I make it a point to get up there every couple of weeks just to wander around and have some lunch and window shop. Over my vacation we met a couple of SASS members.(Single Action Shooting Society)
Very nice people and SASS sounds like an organization that has a lot of fun too. If you like the old west like I do check out the website at www.sassnet.com

Mt Rose Rules!!

Friday I had a couple of hours to head up to Mt Rose to do some snowboarding. With 15-18" of new powder I figured this would be a great chance for me to try snowboarding for the second time!
Heff (AR Productions) and I met up at about 10am and of course went straight to the bar for some liquid courage and sat down and enjoyed a few cocktails and relished in the moment of being on the mountain early in the day when most everyone was at work.We also ran into weatherman Ron Percivalle from Channel 2. He expressed his concerns for my safety and I assured him I could snowboard better than I did traffic! Hahaha
No Wind, No Crowds, just excellent powder and wide open terrain. Heff skied backwards most of the time filming and laughing when I crashed. If you get a chance go see for yourself. If not here's the AR video:

Ice Love a Parade

I was a drummer in the Rose Parade one year, that was fun. I saw the Hollywood Christmas parade a few times and that was SCARY!! The Sparks Hometowne Christmas Parade is way better than both. In the Rose Parade I had to carry a drum over my shoulder for 100 miles and then fight 4 hours of traffic trying to get home. Cool to say I did it but glad I don't have to do it again!! The Hollywood Christmas Parade is scary because you never know if the drug addict next to you is gonna stab you for your hot chocolate or the homeless guy is gonna use your shoes for a toilet!!
If you haven't been to see the Sparks Hometowne Christmas Parade yet next year check it out!!!
Check the weather before you go if they say it's gonna be cold,...BELIEVE THEM!!!
